Piano Competition

RULES AND REGULATIONS


The competition will be held in Budapest on 29-30 July 2019 and is open to piano soloists with any nationality.

6 or under

Repertoire: 6 mins Max – any pieces from specified composers* (one or two)

10 or under

Repertoire: 6 mins Max – One own choice and any pieces from specified composers*

15 or under

Repertoire: 8 mins Max – One own choice and any pieces from specified composers*

18 or under

Repertoire: 10 mins Max – One own choice and any pieces from specified composers*

19 or above

Repertoire: 10 mins Max – One own choice and any pieces from specified composers*


Professional Category (No age limit)

Repertoire: 20-25 mins Max – free choice of pieces by specified composers*

(One of the pieces should be written by Liszt)

Grand Slam Prizes

Age 10 or under
Prizes:
• 1st Prize 100euro

Age 18 or under
Prizes:
• 1st Prize 300euro

Age 19 or above ( This Grandslam will only be considered if the applicant applied BOTH “19 or above” category and “professional’ category )
Prizes:
• 1st Prize 600 euro

First prize of each category will be not divided.
It will be possible to share second and third prize, dividing also the economic prizes.
